- RVs requiring immediate repairs may not be accepted.
If your RV requires an appraisal for tax purposes (value over $5,000), it is the donor’s responsibility to obtain a licensed appraisal before donating.

- The RV’s exterior (front, back, sides, and roof, if possible).
- The RV’s interior, including the living area, kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, and storage compartments.
- Any key features (e.g., awnings, slide-outs, appliances).
- Any visible damage or issues that should be disclosed.
This step helps us steward your donation responsibly and ensures the families we serve receive housing that is ready for use.
An appraisal is only required if the RV is valued at more than $5,000, and you intend to claim a tax deduction for the value above that amount. According to IRS guidelines, the appraisal must:
- Be conducted by a licensed, qualified appraiser.
- Be recent (typically within 60 days of the donation).
The cost of the appraisal is the donor’s responsibility, but it allows you to claim the full fair market value on your tax return. If your RV is valued at $5,000 or less, no appraisal is required, and we will provide you with a standard acknowledgment letter.
We accept a variety of RVs that meet basic living standards, including:
- Motorhomes (Class A, B, or C).
- 5th Wheel Trailers.
- Travel Trailers.
